What we collect
- When you book a leak check: your name, phone number, business name and town. We also record whether you ticked the consent box, the exact wording shown next to it, and the date, time and page.
- When you agree to texts: your mobile number, the messages we send and receive, delivery records, and whether you’ve opted in or out.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- When you visit the website: our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser and the time of your visit, to keep the site running and secure.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. See the cookie policy.
Why we use it
- To arrange and hold your free leak check, and to look at your website and Google listing before we call. Legal basis: steps you asked us to take before a possible contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To send text messages about your booking, and website tips and offers, if you ticked the consent box. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
- To keep a record of your consent and any opt-out, so we can prove what you agreed to and never text you after you say stop. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in doing this properly (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To answer your emails. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To work with you if you become a client, including invoicing. Legal basis: our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)) and our accounting and tax obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
We need your name, phone number and business to book the call. Text messages are optional. Saying no to them doesn’t affect your call.
Text messages (SMS)
- We text you only if you tick the consent box on our booking form. Ticking it is optional. Giving us your phone number is not, on its own, agreement to receive texts.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. Message and data rates may apply. The full rules are in our SMS Policy.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and message delivery, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who receives your data
We don’t sell your personal data. These service providers handle it for us, only on our instructions:
- HighLevel, Inc. (United States), our customer database and messaging platform. It stores booking requests and sends our text messages.
- Phone carriers and messaging providers, which deliver text messages.
- Our email provider, for emails you send us.
- Our hosting provider, which serves this website and keeps its logs.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which deliver the fonts and code this website uses. Your browser connects to them directly, so they see your IP address. They don’t receive anything you type into the form.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
Transfers outside Europe
HighLevel and some of our other providers are based in the United States. When your data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on a safeguard the GDPR recognises: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Booking requests: 12 months after our last contact, if you don’t become a client.
- Client records: for as long as we work together. Invoices and accounting records are kept for 8 years, as Hungarian accounting law requires.
- Text message consent and opt-out records: 5 years after your consent ends, so we can prove consent and keep respecting your opt-out.
- Emails: up to 2 years after our last exchange, unless they become part of a client record.
- Website logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, for security.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you or another company in a usable format. You can object to any use based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing doesn’t affect what we did before.
To stop texts, reply STOP. For anything else, email [email protected]. We reply within one month.
If you think we’ve handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., [email protected], naih.hu). You can also complain to the authority where you live or work, such as the ICO in the UK, or go to court.
If you’re in the United States
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We text you only with your prior express consent, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Automated decisions and children
We don’t make decisions about you by automated means alone. Our service is for businesses, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we text you, we ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
